We were waiting other students in the supermarket Tesco when we received an email from our French school which said that in the light of the circumstances of the Covid-19 crisis, it would be better to come back to France as soon as possible. Obviously, we had just paid our food for the next days… So, we came back to the hotel, deeply disappointed, and thought about what we were going to do… Would we come back to France or stay in Slovakia with the risk that the situation worsened?
Finally, we decided to come back to France and we advised our parents about our decision. But that was just the beginning of the adventure! We had many things to deal with before leaving the hotel and Slovakia. First, we had to call the embassy and reserve our place in the bus which would drive us to Paris. Then, we planned how we were going to go to Bratislava, where the bus would leave, and we informed the Slovak university and the hotel.
Despite our great chagrin of the end of that Erasmus and our adventure in Slovakia, we were convinced that it was the best decision. But before leaving that wonderful country we decided to seize our last days there. Strolls, shopping and good moments together are our last memories of this only one-month Erasmus study.
