The Budatin Castle

The entrance of the Budatin Castle

The 29th of February, we decided to go to the Budatin Castle. So we proposed to others Erasmus students to join us. Finally, instead of being only two, we were about fifteen people !

Mathilde and I organized the trip but after near 30 minutes’ walk, we arrived in a dilapidated area of Žilina… A man helped us and said that we were going to take the “bad way” to the Castle and it would be better to take the “good way”. We followed his advices and we went back to another 30 minutes’ walk. Even if it was the “good way”, we had to cross two railways…

Finally, we found the Castle ! After all these adventures, we arrived just in time to the last visit of the interior’s Castle. In my opinion, it isn’t necessary to visit the interior because it wasn’t a reconstitution but rather a museum. It was interesting, unfortunately, I didn’t expect that, so I was disappointed.

Fortunately, the outside was splendid and we took some beautiful pictures. We also planned to go back during the summer to walk in the park and why not picnic there.
